Organizing and hosting educational events at НПГ по КТС with three other friends, focusing on important topics for students.
For the past three months, my friends and I have been organizing and hosting events at our school, НПГ по КТС, гр. Правец, under our initiative called "Step Up UKTC". We focus on important topics that aren't typically covered in traditional education but are vital for students our age. By inviting successful professionals and entrepreneurs to present at our events, we aim to inspire our peers and provide them with valuable real-world insights.
Step Up UKTC was created to fill the gap between classroom education and real-world skills. Working with three other passionate students, we identify topics that interest our peers and invite accomplished speakers who can provide valuable perspectives. Our events have attracted significant attention within the school, with increasing attendance at each session. The school administration has been supportive, providing us with spaces and resources to make these events possible.
Location: НПГ по КТС, гр. Правец, BulgariaOur inaugural events focused on entrepreneurship and innovation. We invited founders of successful Bulgarian tech companies who shared their journeys, challenges, and insights with our students. These sessions included interactive Q&A portions where students could ask direct questions about starting businesses and developing ideas into viable products.

Our more recent events have expanded to cover topics such as personal finance, mental health, and effective communication skills - all crucial subjects that receive minimal attention in traditional curricula. For these sessions, we brought in specialists including financial advisors, and communication experts who provided practical advice and actionable strategies for our student audience.
The response to Step Up UKTC has exceeded our expectations. Students have approached us to express how these events have influenced their thinking about their futures and career paths. Several have been inspired to start their own projects, while others have formed study groups around topics introduced at our events. Moving forward, we plan to expand our initiative by hosting larger events. Our team is committed to continuing this work throughout our time at UKTC, and we hope to create a sustainable program that future students can carry forward. Organizing these events has taught us invaluable lessons about leadership, event management, and the power of creating spaces for learning outside the traditional classroom. We believe that student-led initiatives like ours can play a crucial role in preparing young people for the complex challenges of today's world.
