Web Development Teaching - Bulgaria

This is my experience teaching web development basics at our school together with three peers.

About the teaching experience

For three months, I had the privilege of teaching web development basics at our school, НПГ по КТС, гр. Правец. This opportunity allowed me to share my knowledge and passion for coding with fellow students, helping them build their first websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

About the Course

Together with three peers, we developed and delivered a comprehensive curriculum covering HTML structure, CSS styling, and basic JavaScript functionality. We emphasized hands-on learning, guiding students through building their own web projects from scratch. Teacher Purvanova supported our initiative and provided guidance throughout the program.

Course Curriculum

We created a structured curriculum that gradually built skills from basic HTML tags to creating interactive web pages with JavaScript. Each session included theory, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises.

Student Projects

By the end of the course, students successfully created their own web projects, demonstrating their understanding of core web development principles. We provided certificates to all students who completed the course.

CSS Styling

JavaScript Basics

My reflections on teaching:

Teaching web development was an incredibly rewarding experience that deepened my own understanding of the fundamentals. Seeing students progress from having little to no coding knowledge to building their own websites was truly fulfilling. The experience improved not only my technical skills but also my communication and mentoring abilities. Working alongside my peers to design and deliver this course taught me the value of collaboration in education. Thanks to the support of Teacher Purvanova, we were able to create an engaging learning environment. I'm grateful for this opportunity and would gladly participate in similar teaching initiatives in the future!
